Mini Worlds
or Return to the world map |
|||
Throughout Neopia are special hidden "Mini Worlds" named Jelly World, Kiko Lake, and Roo Island. Let's take a quick tour of them.
Jelly World
In a very distant corner of Neopia, a strange town exists built entirely of orange jelly. Nobody knows how it got there, perhaps a magic spell that backfired, or perhaps it was commissioned by an eccentric Neopian billionaire with a sweet tooth, who knows! This "hidden" area is not available on any map. Unless you know where it is, you can't get there. The URL for Jelly World is: http://www.neopets.com/jelly/index.phtml
During your stay, please try not to eat the buildings!
Green Jelly
Wow, a previously-unexplored area of Jelly World! Looks like somebody, or something has been busy nibbling at this yummy green jelly!
This was part of a mini plot for when the petpets disappeared in June 2003. It seems that they are fond of green jelly...

Giant Jelly
Sitting in the middle of Jelly World is a gigantic jelly... and you know what this means - yes, FREE JELLY for everybody who visits it!!!
If your Neopet is hungry, why not grab a spoon and take some yummy jelly to eat? Simply click the button below for your daily free sample of jelly!
You can pick up one free jelly each day and each jelly is good for two meals. Is your pet tired of omelettes? Drop by for a quick treat.

Jelly World Colouring Pages
Something has happened!!! All of the colour has been removed from these images. Will you be able to replace the lost colours?
Print them out then colour them in using pens, pencils, crayons, anything you want (but make sure the jelly is Orange!) Once you have finished you can even put them on the fridge or your wall for all your friends to admire.
Here are a few of the ones you may choose from:
Jelly Blobs of Doom
In a world where everything is made out of jelly, it's eat or be eaten. It was a time of war, a time of heroes. He was a Chomby. A very hungry Chomby. There was only one who could help him fulfill his destiny.
Then THEY came.
Movie coming Winter 2006. Keep checking this page for updates!
Bouncy Supreme
There is a part of Jelly World where the Jelly isn't as tasty as it should be. An inhospitable place, filled with Jelly Volcanoes, rivers of Jelly Lava and ominous Jelly Clouds.
In Bouncy Supreme you play the part of a rather unlucky Jelly Blumaroo who has bounced his way a bit too far away from home, and really wants to get back. Unfortunately a gigantic Pterodactyl has spied his lunch...
To play you have to bounce from pillar to pillar using the mouse to set the direction of travel, and how far you wish to bounce. Use the left mouse button to bounce. The first couple of jumps should be easy as there will be a visible guide on the screen. This will go after a few bounces however, then you're on your own.
Collect coins for extra points, and beware of the Pterodactyl... if you take too long, he'll arrive, and he has brought his own ice-cream and sprinkles.
Location : Within mountains 15 miles NE of Neopia Central
Population : 9,400 (92% Kiko, 3% Jetsam, 5% Other)
Weather : always calm and sunny
Terrain : Lake
To the north-east of Neopia Central is a large lake formed within the caldera of a long-dormant volcano. Although you can't see much from above the surface, below is a underwater village where over a thousand Kikos make their home. For those of you that can't breathe underwater, you can take a trip around the lake in one of the pedalos, or glass-bottomed boats. While Kiko Lake is home to a large number of Kikos (hence its name) recently other species have also started to make it their home. The lake itself is a large expanse of water, forming a circular area roughly 20 miles in diameter within the caldera of a long dormant volcano. From the surface the water is blue and clear, but swim down into the depths and a whole new world is revealed.
As you descend the first thing you will notice is the coral. There is simply masses of coral everywhere you look. In some places it has been lovingly crafted into homes or shops, in others it has been used to form beautiful sculptures of legendary heroes.
Delicate seaweed gardens wave to you behind polished coral fences. The people of Kiko Lake take great pride in the appearance of their home, each year there is a competition to find the prettiest garden in the Lake and simply everyone who lives there enters. To receive that coveted trophy from the mayor is a very great honour indeed.
The little high street sells all the basic goods the locals need to survive as well as cute little knick knacks for tourists to buy. There is a air of serenity about the entire place that makes the lake a favourite holiday destination for Neopets wanting to get away from it all.

Kiko Lake Colouring Pages
Here are some interesting scenes from Kiko Lake. Unfortunately, all the colors seem to have washed away.

Glass Bottom Boat Tours
Many Neopets love to take a ride on the world famous Glass Bottomed Boat. This relaxing little trip is a pleasant fun way to spend your afternoon. You are able to see all the wonders of Kiko Lake without ever having to get your fur wet!

The use of cameras is very much encouraged. The people of Kiko Lake are very proud of their immaculate little village and find it funny that people actually flock to take photographs of their homes.
Roo Island
Roo Island is a small island off the coast of Neopia Central. It is inhabited mostly by, yes, you guessed it - Blumaroos. These fun-loving Neopets can always be seen bouncing around with a smile on their face, and if your King was a gentle soul who loved playing games, and made every day a holiday, you'd be smiling too!
There isn't much here at the moment, apart from some Neopedia Articles, but more is coming soon. Click on the castle in the centre to play Dice-A-Roo!
Location : Island 30 miles E of Neopia Central
Population : 275,000 (95% Blumaroo, 5% Other)
Area : 5,000 sq. miles.
GDP : 1.8bn NP
Weather : Warm all year round, light showers daily.
Terrain : Meadows, hills, light woods
Government : Monarchy
Roo Island is a medium-sized island around thirty miles east of the main Neopian Coastline. It is easy to get there as there is a twice-daily ferry service leaving from the port of Neopia Central (with a 30NP fee). For years, Roo Island has been the home of the fun loving Blumaroo, ruled over by their wise king, King Roo.
The Island itself is around 50 miles in diameter, and about 100 miles north to south. There are three main towns, the biggest of which is Roo City, home of the royal Roo palace. Each of the towns is connected via a well kept road, and trade caravans are not uncommon. There are also a handful of little villages dotted around the island, which I certainly recommend visiting in the summer.
The fun-loving Blumaroo are great to be around, there is always a smile on everybodys face, and you can always see the young Blumaroo playing in the meadows and fields. The older Blumaroo mainly concentrate on creating interesting arts and crafts that they sell to the mainland.

Dice-A-Roo
Fancy a game of chance? Well you are at the right place. This is the great dice game Dice-A-Roo, brought to you by King Roo of the Blumaroos. Have you read the story of King Roo in the Neopedia?
I am King Roo, Welcome!
This is one of the most popular games in the "game of chance" area. On the first two levels (red and blue dice) you can only win neopoints. Starting with the green die, however, you can win items too. By the time you get to the silver (jackpot) level, you can also win bottled faeries. As with any game of chance, TNE would like to remind you to never risk more than you can afford to lose.

Roo Island Merry Go Round
Roll Up! Roll Up!
Enjoy a ride on Roo Island's world famous Merry Go Round! Sit atop a hand painted wooden Uni and relax as you spin round and round to beautiful Merry Go Round sounds.
Just 50 NP a go. What are you waiting for?
Select a pet and pay 50 np for a quick spin. You don't actually see the ride, though. Here is what you see after you pay:

I hope you enjoyed your ride, come again soon! The Roo Island Merry Go Round is always open for business. Why don't you try a night time spin? It really is quite lovely watching the stars as you whirl around. |

Roo Island Colouring Pages
Something has happened!!! All of the colour has been removed from these images. Will you be able to replace the lost colours?
Print them out then colour them in using pens, pencils, crayons, anything you want! Once you have finished you can even put them on the fridge or your wall for all your friends to admire.
For some reason, this area is not on the Roo Island map. We've gone ahead and listed it here and will add it to the map when Neopets updates theirs.

Count von Roo is one of the nastier denizens of Neopia. Born in 200 BN (which was a very long time ago), this vampire Blumaroo was scorned from society for his evil ways. Cast out, and alone he wandered Neopia for years, travelling only by night, until he came upon a small uninhabited Island, and Island that was soon to be known as Roo Island.
The count came across an old, decaying castle to the north of the Island, and decided that this would be his new home. Tired of his travels, he descended to the warm, familiar darkness of the basement, and slept. For two hundred years he slept, and he has only recently awakened. What terror this ancient demon has in store for Neopia, only time can tell...

The Count is sleeping... you think it unwise to disturb him
Of course, if you go back at the right time...
So, you want to test your luck against me, eh? Well why don't we each roll a die? Whoever rolls higher, wins. If you win, your Neopet gains a level. But if I win... they LOSE a level! How does that sound?
|
If you are wrong:
Ha ha ha! I won, as planned! You fool! And your little pet lost 1 level, dropping to 182! You can only dice with fate once a day. Try again tomorrow! |
But if you are right:
Curses! You defeated me! That wasn't supposed to happen! Oh well, I guess Jenny945 gained 1 level, and goes up to 183. You can only dice with fate once a day. Try again tomorrow!
