TNE News

As with all good help sites, the pages on the Neopian Educator are always under construction. Suggestions and constructive criticism are always welcome. Simply fill out the automatic comment form.

The Game Reviews page has been updated. Lots of old product placement games were removed and the new ones were added.

Work is continuing on the FAQ's. One of the most recent areas is the Chat FAQ’s which includes a list of the special avatars and where/how to get them.

Another project currently under way is a "Museum" of sorts...but it is rather labor intensive and will probably not be up and running for a while.

TNE went on vacation near the end of the month. Here's a snapshot of JC getting ready to embark:

See everyone when we get back!

Halloween Happenings

Next month is Halloween, a spooky time for you and your pets. Be on the lookout for all sorts of creepy fun on the news page. Of course, you can always start planning now...after all, why wait until the last minute?

Costumes

Your pet can easily have a special costume with the aid of either the Halloween or Ghost Paint Brush.

Don't overlook the Transmogrification Potions... a Mutant Pet makes a great costume. In fact, I like the Mutant Aisha a lot better than the Halloween one.

Petpets can also get into the act with their own paint brushes. Unlike pets, there is a Mutant Petpet Paintbrush rather than a potion.

And of course, if you are going to get all your pets and petpets ready, why not get your own costume? Need some ideas? Why not take a look at the contest page Neopets had a few years back.

If you need a starting place, why not drop by the Haunted Woods and look at the masks you can make?

Once you have everyone's costume, it's time to start thinking about decorations. While in the Haunted Woods, be sure to print out the Colouring Pages.

Here is JC's favorite:

For the ultimate Halloween fun, don't forget to book a stay at the Cockroach Towers?

As always, play safe and have fun!

TNE’s Description: A hot bowl of soup is just the thing for those chilly autumn nights.

Ingredients:
Directions:

Rinse beans. In a medium saucepan combine beans and 2-1/2 cups water. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer for 2 minutes; remove from heat. Cover and let stand for 1 hour. (Or, skip boiling the water and soak beans overnight in a covered pan.) Drain and rinse beans.

In the same saucepan combine beans, 2-2/2 cups fresh water, carrot, celery, onion, bouillon granules, garlic, basil, oregano, and pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 2 hours or till beans are tender. Add undrained tomatoes, cabbage, zucchini, and spaghetti. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes or till tender. Stir in bacon. If desired, serve with grated Parmesan cheese.

This fun little site is informative, quick loading, and well designed. While not as flashy as many of it's counterparts, the lack of popups and easy sidebar navigation make it well worth the visit.
