When was NeoPets founded?
Neopets was founded by Donna and Adam way back in 1999. The site first went live on November 15th 1999!

When is the NeoCam on?
The Neocam is on Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm NST (approx), and it is occasionally on during the weekends and late at night also. To see what is happening in Neopets HQ at the moment, click here! (There is also a link to the Neocam on the Neopets front page) Note it is not streaming video, you will have to press refresh to get a new picture. A new picture is uploaded every 5 seconds.
How long is a year in Neopian Time?
Approximately 365 days (same as an Earth year). You can check what is happening
in Neopia with the Calendar. This shows all the important events for the whole
year :) To get to the Calendar, click on 'World' then 'Calendar'.
How can I find out what the time is in Neopia?
Neopian Standard Time (NST) is shown on the front page, world page, battledome
page and on the calendar. This should help you make arrangements to chat, fight,
trade etc, with international Neofriends.
You can find out what the time is whenever you are on the site by typing 'nst'
or 'time' into the search box on the yellow side bar. This will bring up this
page. To return to the page you were before, simply press the back button on
your browser.
Time in Neopia is based on Neopian Standard Time (N.S.T.) It is roughly the same as Pacific Standard Time, so the two may be used interchangeably. You will notice that TNE provides a clock on the banner of each page along the right of the screen as well as the status bar along the bottom of the page. Because Neopets is enjoyed by people around the world, it is important that one common system be used. Because Neopets is based in California (U.S.A.), they decided to keep the "Neopian" time the same as their local time.
Why is time important?
Certain events take place at certain times of the day. If I were to notice that the Snowager was sleeping at 8:00 my time, and posted that for someone who lived two hours ahead of me, they would miss out (or think I was giving them false information). On the other hand, if I posted what time he sleeps in Neopian Standard Time, then it doesn't matter what time zone anyone is in.

To get a position, you must be at least 18 years old and live in the Southern California area or be willing to relocate to Southern California.

There aren't many rules to Neopets, but if you want to know exactly what you can and can't do, feel free to check our Terms and Conditions at any time. You can get to it by clicking on the 'Terms and Conditions' link at the bottom of any page.
Keeping up to date with changes listed on the News page will also cue you in when new rules are added.
Why is my account frozen?
Accounts are only frozen if you break one of the rules of the site. Minor infringements
are always given a warning first. Usually when an account is frozen, it is due
to one of the following reasons:
If you have been frozen and aren't sure why, or you feel you have been unjustly frozen, please email frozen@neopets.com. A member of our support team will gladly tell you the reason. Remember to include your username, or we will not be able to help you
